Time: two to three hours
Size: 8x10(ish)
Materials: mechanical pencil, average printer paper

First things first, I don't know much (if anything) about InuYasha...so if there's problems here? I really don't care. XD I did my best on what little knowledge I have to go off of.

Now then! This here is Sesshomaru, because Tomoe dear loves him. I hope I did a decent job, but I'm sure I've messed up more than a few things. *shrug*

The background was easily the most time consuming, only for the shading, but I did it without reference so I can't say that I'm disappointed. I realize now though that it's extremely lopsided, composition-wise, but honestly I just can't do any more work on this. I'd love to make it perfect, and while I've enjoyed doing this for a friend...it's been terribly frustrating. Fanart is something I really like doing, but I've never done something for a series/character I don't really know. It's tougher than I thought it would be. Learning experience I guess?

But out of all of this, I learned the little dude's name is Jaken. And I think he's cute. If I ever decide to do this again, I think I'd like to draw him with Rin...

Oh my God, this is beautiful! I'm sorry it was such a pain in the ass to do :XD: But well worth it I think, because the result is wonderful. His clothes, his hair *molests*, the doggy at his feet, little sleeping Jaken.... :omg:

The composition is fine, don't worry about it! As I look at it tends to bring your eye down from the top right to the bottom left, which works well I think, in my uneducated opinion :XD:

I'm totally in love with you now. I will so have your e-babies at your request. Hopefully none with flippers. :heart: :heart: :heart:

Jaken is too cute btw.

Neat! I love your shading style. And wow! You drew the whole thing with mechanical pencil? :O

Sara is a super fun character to draw, if I do say so myself. (You can consider that a random request. <3)

It was a pain in the ass in a good way though, I swear!! If I ever expect to get any commissions at a convention, I'm gonna need to branch out a bit more anyway!

Actually, I do like how you saw the composition...I can almost play it off like I meant it like that....hmmm.... :XD:

I'm so happy you like this though, you have no idea. I suppose you can keep your babies for now, I've dealt with far too many working at a mall over Christmas!! hehe...but I'll take a raincheck.


[ps...since I'm clearly unfamiliar with this, did I make Jaken too small? I mean I know I made his dog form tiny in comparison, but that's totally impossible anyway so I ignore it. Let me know about Jaken...if I ever work back into this (which I'd like to) I'll try to fix it then!]]
