For those of you that don't recognize it, this is a recreation of a screenshot from the video for Nine Inch Nail's "Only".


This piece was a gift for my friend Charlie.


People keep saying I must really like him, seeing as I spent so much time on this just to give it away. Sure, that's part of it. But if there's anyone that deserves this, and will appreciate it...it's him.

Maybe this is me being uncharacteristically sappy, but this drawing means a lot to me...probably more than it should. Working on this got me through more than a few nights that would have otherwise been spent being far less productive. Spending time doing such technical work that required more concentration than I'm used to made me stay more focused than I have been in a long time. I've had so much drama in my life, so much shit going so wrong...but instead of sitting and wallowing in my misery, I forced myself past it, and put my thoughts into something more worthwhile. I don't honestly believe I've ever been more proud of anything I've ever done.

This was an exercise in strength.
